The non-governmental organization "Echo" has held the supervision of the election of deputies to Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan in all 14 oblasts of Kazakhstan, both in towns and villages, and in the cities of Almaty and Astana. The monitoring was conducted from the day the elections were declared.
Nominees by political parties according to age and sex
NGO "Echo" in partnership with 26 regional public organizations declared intention to implement, with the support of the "European Endowment for Democracy", a comprehensive monitoring of the forthcoming elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Monitoring will be a long-term (observation of pre- and post-election periods) and short-term (observation of the voting and vote-counting process).

The early elections of the deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were appointed on January 15, 2012 by the President of the republic on November 16, 2011, six days after the appeal of a group of parliament deputies to the president with a request to dissolve the Mazhilis and hold early elections. At the same time, on November 16, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan appointed regular elections for deputies of Maslikhats on January 15.
